Though it's not our favorite procedure, if it means the difference between a cat staying outside instead of inside, or an owner having to get rid of it altogether, we will do the declaw procedure. We use a host of pain management options including carpal nerve blocks, fentanyl patches, laser therapy treatment and opiod pain management.
