Rachel
Gerard moved to Colorado from Bettendorf, Iowa, and had resided in
Englewood, Colorado for 3 years, while attending the Bel-Rea Institute. She
was originally chosen to be a veterinary nurse intern at Just For Paws in April
2008, but decided to stay longer and accept a position as a full time nurse
when she graduated from Bel-Rea with an Associate of Applied Science degree
in June 2008. Rachel is now a Certified Vet Nurse. Her interests in veterinary
medicine include patient care and recovery, client education, dental care, and
is the Nurse Internship Coordinator at JFP. Rachel and her husband, Mike, bought
their first house in May of 2009, so that the infamous Boston Terriers, Ace
and Trigger, have a place to run laps and chase squirrels. Their house is also
home to Guinness the guinea pig, Louie the hamster, and their most recent addition,
Charlie the Chinchilla. In her free time, she enjoys spending evenings with
good friends, watching movies, and bowling.
